Hi everyone! I was wondering if any of you use pet insurance for your Shelties, and if so, what has been your experience with each company? I'm looking around for insurance for Ripley. I found a company called Trupanion that seems great, but unfortunately they only enroll dogs under a year old and aren't currently in Florida. I appreciate all your help!

I had VPI with my previous dog- but the premiums go up as they get older and after he was 10, I couldn't afford it anymore. I am looking at other companies but would like to know about personal experiences with them.
 
Great topic! I'd certainly be interested in hearing about pet insurance from people who have some knowledge and experience.
 
Try PetCare

Hi folks! My 9-year old adopted Sheltie has PetCare insurance. I chose them because they had no upward age limit and it turns out they are GREAT.

That doesn't mean that they cover everything. What it DOES mean is that their policy is worded clearly, so I know what is covered, and that they reimburse very quickly.

In fact, my dog's insurance is so much better than my human medical insurance that I wish I could be covered by PetCare.
 
I have VPI but only for my two young dogs. I'd be interested in checking out PetCare. Do you have a URL you could share with us? thanks! :winkgrin:
