I totally agree with you Dream, we're just starting level 2 obedience and I can start teaching him something on Tuesday and by Wednesday he's learnt it. So incredibly smart, and they absolutely love to learn!
Piper amazes me every day, I started to teach him 'roll over' 3 days ago and just 5 minutes/day and he's got it! I just love this connection we have because of all the obedience we do and of course he just loves to learn new things. Here's a short video I took this morning of him doing it on his own for the first time.
this is great, because i tried teaching Gordon to roll over and he just tries to sit up and eat the treat!..... i've given up for now and am still working on drop stay as he drops but only when i give a very expressive hand gesture or with a treat but sits back up as soon as he can.
Its like he thinks i want him to sit for every command ahah!
The last obedience class we took taught us clicker training and I swear he learns things sooo much faster now than before. They 'get it' faster when their clicker trained.
