Playfulness

What darling pix.

My first Sheltie became more "sedate" after reaching 1 year old, he still played, but it was not that "frantic" puppy play, he was more of a "gentleman" about it, LOL. I guess all of them are different. It is fun to watch them, Laddie and Robbie the cat love each other, they play chase and I laugh so hard.

Hollie continued to play up to the day we had to put her to sleep, at the age of 13! She always wanted to play even when she physically couldn't. We would roll the ball back and forth. Her favorite thing to do was play frisbee. So the last game she played with DH was frisbee. She couldn't run or jump to catch it any longer, but she would still catch it in her mouth if you threw it to her.

Shelby on the other hand calmed down at about a year. She will play but quickly settles if you do not respond. Also she only chases the ball a few times outside then just wants to lay in the shade. But she will play for a long time with kids or other dogs. I guess us adults just are not as fun:lol:

I know this is off topic, but your shelties are beautiful! I cannot wait until my puppy gets fluffy and gorgeous like your dogs. I am very excited watching her coat grow.
