Had just gotten the matt out that Blaze had in that fly away "feathers" of his right ear (you know the long ones that rest so nicely against the white ruff?) when I decided to watch son's six month old Westie pup.
Thought Blaze would love the doggie company. Ten month old Blaze and the six month Westie have been playing together from time to time with no problem but this was the longest time--four days and five nights. Anyway the Westie and Blaze play-wrestled quite a bit--his "feathers" constantly being a target by the younger pup and therefore always wet and messy.
Now the little Westie visitor is gone and Blaze hasn't anyone to burn off that energy. But he also has a matt on that right side and he appears rather vigilant if he thinks I might be paying a lot of attention to that area. (Guess he had enough pulling there from the pup.) Anyone have an idea how to release a matt of that "feathery" ear fur (if I just keep spraying with anti-tangler and over lots of time finger tease the matt out?) or maybe I should just leave it alone for awhile since it isn't bothering him.
