Prick Ears

Bears ears are small they like to stand up also.used hair extension glue so far a week of being glued down worked. But i have a whole bottle if they decide to stand back up

Asta's breeder recommended gum when one of her ears started to go up. I don't like the one ear up, one down look myself. So easy. Just chew some gum then stick it into the hair on the inside of the ear, near the top. The weight should keep it down. Gum eventually dries up and falls out or you can remove. Seems easier than gluing to me.
 
Certainly some dogs do not need their ears taped or glued to tip naturally. They as many others have said have instructions various places if they must tip and won't. Have had three different shelties from three different breeders and have never glued or taped them but all have been tipped by the time they were a year old. I would not bother but that is me. If their ears are prick so be it.

That's the method I use - just avoid sugar free gum with xylitol. I think Deska's would have stayed tipped without gumming them - I did put on too much and this actually made them tip too much, so start with a small amount first. I tried that method with Tully but would come home from work to find a poor little puppy with sopping wet ears because Deska had obviously spent the day trying to chew the gum off her ears! Anyway I always say Tully is so pretty already that if she had tipped ears she would be too cute.
 
Its enough to make one dizzy, all the ear "do's" ! :)

Justus had very short thick ear leathers, we tried, then let them prick. I didn't much like using the glue remover, smelled so much like solvent, couldn't have been kind to living flesh...

Bobby came with tipped ears, well, one tipped ear - the other would pop up and stand at attention when he was very alert...

Puppy will have ears tipped, I'll probably use that double sided tape... and maybe a nickle...
 
You really have to decide how important it is for you to have correct ears.

It is a pretty big commitment. I personally prefer proper ears, but I decided that I'm not going to make myself crazy over it. At 22.5 weeks, Callan's ears fly between hound and prick ears.

I've considered bracing between but nothing more. To keep the ears from setting too wide, only. I'm just not in the mood to deal with ears in a non-show pup. And currently he is more hound than prick anyway,
 
I agree -- it's personal preference. Cubby is going to be some ginormous, raccoon-eyed, dark-masked, neutered pet. Ears, whatever.

However, I do agree they look way better tipped.
