I have a book of dog recipes I will look through tomorrow I know it has different cake recipes. A guy my sister does agility with gathered all kinds of recipes form agility people all over and printed a book. Oops it's right in front of me on the coffee table. Here is one for
DOGGIE B'DAY CAKE
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 jar strained turkey or liver baby food 2 1/2 oz.
4 eggs
3 strips beef jerky crumbled (optional)
1/2 c. margarine softened
1/2 c. canola oil
plain yogurt or cottage cheese for icing (I would try cream ch, Jessica)
Preheat oven to 325 . Sift flour and baking powder together, set aside bowl,with electric mixer at medium speed,cream margarine until smooth. Add canola oil,baby food and eggs mix until smooth. At low speed gradually beat flour mixture into beef mixture until batter is smooth. Fold in beef jerky. Pour batter into well greased 8x5x3 loaf pan. bake for 70 min. Let cool on wire rack a few minutes before removing from pan to cool completely. Ice each slice when serving or if you use cream cheese you can ice and refridgerate.
I'll look through the whole book tomorrow and see if there is anything better.
