puppy ears

Hi all,
Ruutu is now 15 weeks old. He has different sized ears.. sounds funny, but it is true. His one ear is wider than the ear. I discussed this with my parents and they assured me we can just trim them to make them look even (which I'm fine with, obviously, I can't do anything to fix this nor would) But my issue is, when I glue them I try to make them even, but when I do this, the one that is wider actually dips down lower (so low breaking) and it also angles to the side versus straight ahead.
I was wondering if you guys have any idea what I can do to try and fix them.. I do bridge the ears, but he tends to get the glue out easily and even with that, it still angles out. I will attach a picture of it later today as I am at work and my photos are on facebook and I can't access them here.

Is the ear pointing toward the inside, middle of head, or outside? If it's pointing toward the inside start gluing the ear.... (Going to use this as an example so it'll make more since. If the ear affected is the one on the left when he is facing you. Glue the ear tip to the left side instead of gluing to the right side at the base of the skull, which is commonly done when using glue. Also, glue higher than the break of the ear... You want to try to train the ear to not break so low. It is possible that this ear is heavy, since it is wide, and is trying to go hound. Get some breathe right strips, cut them in half, and place inside ear.

Thanks! The ear that points to the side points out. I always glue closest to his nose but still goes out on his own. I might try switching to bracing using moleskin. Because of this and because he rips the glue out within 48 hours and takes the hair out too sooo his head is kinda bald :(

here's a picture of him close up. Right now, we're going to try and use moleskin and try to make it go up more and re-tip at a higher level.

Are one of his ears glued right now? If I am looking at the picture, the ear on the right looks glued, and the other not. Am I correct?

I think,if I were you,and you already are,but I would brace them,and forget the glue.
I only say that, because I don't have the pup right here in front of me,an it hard to imagine a pup with a one wider ear than the other.
I think bracing them would give you an easier time of it,to get that ear where it needs to be.
He is cuter than a button though!!

Picture does help. :). You very much need breathe right strips for that ear. It is heavy. I wouldn't brace without a breathe right strip, or two in that ear to help it stand up. Bracing without support could cause that ear to pull over more. These strips do work... I had a heavy ear in one of mine before. As far as mole skin goes... I've never used it, but I know some have with great success.. I use Japanesse ear tape. :)

Neither were glued in that picture  That's how their tipping without glue in them, which is why I have a problem. His one ear is perfect right now, the other, we put in mole skin above the crease and then tipped a little higher. idk if it will help, but :fl

hmm never heard of using breathe right strips. might try that if the moleskin doesn't do the job.
