UPDATE:
Well I shouldn't have worried. Puppy is clearing his plate in under 5 minutes and then asking for more.
He's getting a tablespoon of canned food (Usually Merrick) and 1/3 cup of kibble (mix of Fromm Gold Puppy, Acana Small Breed Puppy and a few kibbles of Orijen puppy). He's eating 3 times a day, and then a couple of small treats in between for training/rewards.
yeppers, that is how it starts...and then they get adventuresome and try and score more and more...or at least that is how my pups are. And wait until the "looks" and "performances" kick in to see if you will relent and give them more.
