Rainbow bridge site

I have it in my will, and have told all my family that I want to be buried with my furbabies' ashes. I have my memorial shelf in my living room with Neechee's ashes and my cat's. I keep other keepsakes there with them.

When Neechee died, my parents offered to give him a place in their memorial garden with their passed on kitties. I was homeless (except for my parents) at the time, and I couldn't bear the thought of having to move away from him. So cremation was the only way for me. I like having them close by. It's a big comfort.

I have made very similar arrangements. And I to have a memorial shelf with Shep, Shandy and Shelby's ashes, along with their pictures.

Miley is the first pet I had lost. I was SO not sure what to do. Since we don't own our home we had her cremated. We have a ceramic urn with her name, photo and birth/death date printed on it. We have in the urn with her letters my daughters wrote to her when she died. She is to be scattered with me when I die. Her ashes are on a shelf along with a wonderful picture my mother in law got us of a folk type angel holding a tri color sheltie. Framed under the photo is Miley's paw print that the emergency vet was kind enough to get the night she died. About a week after she died we received a card with the paw print in the mail. It meant so much to me that they did that.
