Rally Fee Question

I got a notice saying I owe them $5. I don't get it. Can someone explain here before I call them up and basically chew them out. They're starting to really upset me. First, they said I didn't write the class, which I did. AUGH!

This is what the premium says:
RALLY ENTRY FEES • (including $3.00 AKC recording fee)
RALLY ENTRIES MUST INCLUDE DOG’S JUMP HEIGHT
Separate fee for each dog, each trial
First entry of each dog....$30.00
Additional entry of same dog.....$25.00

So, it's a 1 day trial, with two "runs". In agility, that means I pay $30 for the first run, and $25 for the second.

According to this company, I am supposed to pay $30 twice.

HUH? :confused2:

Is this that new math everyone is always talking about? You Rally people confuse me, hehehe.

are you sure it's two runs or two trials. In obedience/rally, you usually only enter twice in the same trial when you are doing say Rally Advanced and Rally Excellent to get your RAE. there are not usually two novice classes at one trial.

The trial that I went to in June had two trials on Sat and one on Sunday- so you could theoretically title in one weekend. I entered Happy in the morning trial with the male judge and Callie in the afternoon trial with the female judge. so one dog per trial, full fee. If I had entered Callie in both- still would have been full price as they were separate trials.

check the premium to see if there are two numbers - one for each trial.
hope this helps.

OOOOOhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.............

This is what it says:

Rally (1st Show) - 2010235604
Rally (2nd Show) - 2010235605

I didn't realize that was considered two trials....:rolleyes2:
Wow. I think I need a "how to read a rally premium" course.

Thanks for the info. Very good to know.
I'm pulling out of the second one anyways (I heard it runs really late at night - Miko's not going to make it that late), so it doesn't matter, but I was getting frustrated with these people - nice, but frustrating.

Why must AKC make everything so difficult.

I had someone in my club help me fill out my first entry- will probably get help when we try to enter our first agility trial too

Glad you got it figured out but I wanted to say "Yikes" :eek2: I have never paid $30 to enter a trial obedience or rally. Most was $28 and I thought that was alot. Most around here are $25/$17. No wonder you said it was expensive. I hope this isn't the way the entries are going.

I don't think so. This one is indoors at our local fairgrounds. I would assume it'd cost a lot to rent that place out. I'm doing it because it's on my Friday off (and there were two in one day although now I'm seeing that's a bad thing). Others I've seen are $25-$28. Although, still higher than the $20-$21 agility fees.

I probably should've asked the woman I train agility with (she does Rally mainly). I didn't think it'd be that hard. lol. I personally think the agility one is much easier. hehehe
