Red Spots

Hi All!
Riley is 5 months old now and getting into everything ;-)
I have chosen to ask your advice before going to a vet because I think I'm worrying about nothing... lol.
I noticed yesterday that on his bare tummy he has bright red non-uniform spots. At first I was very worried because I thought it was blood. I got a wet cloth and wiped him and they are just spots, not blood. They are flat to the touch, no bumps or heads or anything. They are not bothering him (itchy or sore to the touch).
Monday he did spend a couple of hours lying on the grass eating a bone. Do you think it could just be some sort of allergy? Or bug bite? Or do you think this is something more serious that we should see a vet for immediately?

Hi Chantale ~ Riley's spots don't sound serious on the surface, but I'd bring them to the attention of your vet at his next puppy visit. However, I would keep an eye on them and if they change, become raised or seem itchy, I'd schedule an appointment sooner. It could just be a spring allergy, or it could be nothing, but better safe than sorry! Good for you for keeping an eye on all the parts of your puppy! Keep us posted.

My Bows gets red spots all over her belly this time of year from her allergies. The skin also gets infected. You might want to have the vet check it just to be sure.
