Sandstorm chased a rabbit- came when I told him too!!!!!!!

Hi all.
This a.m. about 10 minutes before I had to leave for work, I was in front of the house playing fetch with Sandstorm. He got the ball, saw a rabbit and chased him into the neighbors yard. We live on a dirt private road, but it was still scary. I really yelled SANDSTORM COME, about four times, he stopped and came to me. GREAT!! It could be because the rabbit could no longer be seen, I am not sure. Rabbits are frequent around here in the early a.m., so it is on my mind for the future. Ofcourse my second thought was that I would be late for work. I really hope this good recall continues- I know it is never 100% and I am very protective. Anything can happen, especially with bunnies!! Honestly, if Sandstorm got the bunny, I don't think he would know what to do with it.

Good boy, Sandstorm!

Be careful....Vinca ran away last year and was missing for 6 hours :eek2: She was found at a Park about a 1/4 mile away sitting under a van. She ALWAYS has a good recall, except for this one time, when she took off after a herd of deer. You never know :cry:

I wish I could have seen that herd of deer!! I never want to get complacent about the recall- you are right, you never know, and dogs are dogs.
