Sca is under 18"

Keep practicing it with him so he's less nervous when you go to do your official measuring. Trax finally measured under 18" but he jumped 20" in AKC for the past 2 and a half years and finally won his challenge measurement just a few months ago. It was really only because he always hunched up when he would get anxious with the judge that was trying to measure him. I worked with him for a while on stretching his neck out for a treat and I found that when I relaxed he relaxed and his shoulders dropped.
Thanks Sca is SUPER passive so he would shrink with the judge complaining I am sure. Last night I found out he is as big as one of his BC buddies and taller than the other :eek2:.

Oh and that merled BC's seem to not like him :confused2: for some reason he stirs them up. He had #3 wanting to get him last night at flyball. She was eyeing him up all night (the owner did do a good job of controlling her) I think off leash they would have played but on leash she wanted to eat him, and Mr Brave Sca turned and ran

Oh I'm sure he will at first. But of course the judge will just keep up until he stands up straight. We have the worst time with Maverick and measuring him, so even though he's not ready to compete, I bring him with me and measure him at every trial he comes to :biggrin2:

Lexi doesn't like being measured, either. Our club's measuring wicket makes this horrible metal on metal sound when it's moved, and Lexi HATES it. I'm taking it really slowly with her and right now she gets a cookie for touching the wicket with her nose, walking under it, etc...

Sca runs if I get the tape measure he has since he was a puppy  The measuring thing was not to his standards either. Had it been on a table he might have tolerated it though. For a dog that can be so crazy and likes all people (some are his favorites though) he sure can be a chicken for weird things.
