Science diet wet vs Fromm?

Spitfire had a couple of teeth pulled (cracked) and has to have soft food for a bit. I suspect the vet will push Science Diet which from what I heard of the dry food is not that good. The guys eat Fromm now and I was thinking of grabbing Spitfire some cans tomorrow of that rather than SD. Is the wet Science Diet as corny? I am a bit concerned as he broke out when we had to get an emergency bag of another brand once yet has done well on any flavor of Fromm's.

PS he is doing well and awake now......'really well' which makes me suspect he is up to no good.
 
Glad to hear Spitfire is recovering, Sheep! You are spot on about the SD canned....yuck!! Read the ingredients...corn, corn and more corn. Do get your little guy some better quality canned food. There are several good ones: Merrick, Wellness, and my favorite, Evangers cans -- Evangers makes a great chicken/rice variety that won't upset his tummy. He'll be back to chewing before you know it.

My thought :confused2:
-why do not soften his normal pills in hot water and make a very thin porridge - so nothing will happen with his stomach

I dipped his pill in the other half can and he inhaled it. Sometimes he resists heartworm pills sometimes they are treats. Sometimes I think he is just messing with me LOL
 
That's good news! Glad to hear he's recovering. I haven't seen Fromm in cans....glad you were able to get it!
 
Might be 'newish' the lady at the store had not seen the one I got. They are being house dogs today. I went home and let them out at lunch. The vet said he would start feeling a lot better in a week or so. I laughed and told her he has been on a bender lately despite his tooth issues so that might not be a good thing. We will see come Monday once we are back from flyball if he gets crazier (he grumps on flyball weekends)
