My puppy absolutely LOVES her frisbee after she stopped being afraid of it (LOL long story). She favors it over tennis balls now and is getting very good at it but I am scared she is going to mess up her teeth because she gets so into it when she catches. Is messing up her teeth something I should worry about with this? I definitely don't want to mess up or break her nice pearly whites. Anybody else with a frisbee crazy pup?

One of my dogs plays Frisbee (the right way, anyway), but she isn't a Sheltie.
Treader likes Frisbees to play tug-a-war with, and occasionally I can toss one to him and he will catch it. My Frisbee is a soft Frisbee, which I got from Wal*Mart. Actually, I do have another. A cheap little plastic one. That one I wouldn't use for tug-a-war it's so breakable. It's OK for throwing though, and my non-Sheltie uses it.
If you are concerned, my advice is to either watch your girl very closely and check often for tooth damage, or get a soft Frisbee.

oh Cali LOVES her frisbee.. She rarely put it down when she brings it back without me having to use a stern DOWN command! She just wants to play tug of war with it and never drop it.. She knows with a tennis ball that as soon as she runs up to me, she gently sits it down on the ground and sits. I will definately have to look into the softer frisbees next time I am in wally world. She looks like a goofball anyway as small as she is trying to run with a full size frisbee in her mouth. Ever step she makes with her front paws you can hear her legs bouncing off it lol!
Smoke is a frisbee nut, we actually compete in disc dog competitions and its his very favorite thing next to agility 
Frisbees are not likely to hurt her teeth, but I wouldn't recommend the cheap little plastic frisbees that PetSmart and such carry. There are several manufacturers that make discs just for dogs, and while they cost just a bit more they are worth the money, as they last longer and are easier on your dog's mouth. They also usually carry mis-stamped discs at a discount, which are perfectly good discs except that the logo is messed up. We buy the mis-stamped Fastbacks from Discovering the World, at $1.60 each they are a great deal. Here are some links:

Izzie absolutely loves her soft frisbee. She plays catch several times a day. She is on her second frisbee because the first one was shredded after six months.
She also likes to use her frisbee as a "bun" where she wraps the frisbee around something soft like a sock or dog toy. It is pretty funny to watch.
