Sheltie TV - Agility Edition

Great videos! It's awesome to be able to go back and watch your runs, don't you think? I seem to black out during the runs and never really remember what happened--haha!

You both did an awesome job.

I can't believe how small that one tunnel looks though! If I were a sheltie I don't think I'd want to duck down to get in it!:razz:
 
It's so fun to watch the videos. It looks like you both had fun, and to me, having fun with your dog is the best part of agility.

That's one reason I tape them. I like to go back and see what I did - both right and wrong. In a trial it all happens so fast you don't really have time to think about it beyond walking the course before the run.

The Teacup equipment is cute because it's so small. There were two of those small tunnels on the course and one of them he had no issues with. The other one, he just didn't want to go in.

I found it interesting when we did the Group Choice run and we needed some full size tunnels to fill out the course that he took the large tunnels no questions asked and hesitated at one of the small ones like "you want me to go in that little thing?". :lol:

Honestly, I was concerned about how he'd take to the narrower jumps and dog walk. The teeter was interesting the first time he ran across it during our Friday night run through. (He ran at it full bore as if he was crossing a full size teeter and ended up wiping out. Put him right back on it so he wouldn't be scared of it. Thankfully he wasn't, just more careful.)

Teacup was a BLAST! I had more fun with it than CPE. If you have a Sheltie small enough to run TDAA trials (under 17 inches) and there is a club near you that offers them, DO IT! You'll have so much fun!

I ran Justice in UKC agility and their A frame is shorter. They let you do a walk though on leash for the A dogs and Justice took that A frame in 2 strides were he normally takes 3. However, he did 3 and ended up in mid air like the coyote in the roadrunner cartoons. :biggrin2: Luckily I caught him before he fell. He was more carefull the next time.

I'll have to look for TDAA. Justice is retired from agility but Ember is only 13" so she could do it. Only problem is she'll probably slide off that table:smile2:
 
It looks like so much fun to do this! Maybe someday.....

He looks great! He's such a cute little thing!
