so our pup has found something that he thinks is fun to do.... eat my hair! i have really long hair (like to my waist) and when im sitting on the floor, or really anywhere where he can come up behind me, he thinks is fun to try to chomp on it and pull, like he does his rope. and of course my husband thinks its really funny, and well it is kinda, but still. have any of your dogs done anything like this, and how do i get him to stop doing it?

my puppy did this too. i used to keep my hair up in a bun so he couldn't eat it.

when Cran jumps up on the couch beside me, he sometimes sniffs my ponytail and occasionallly tries to lick it. I tell him he's not allowed to eat my hair
then he usually lays down for snuggles

Lexi barks and snaps at my hair when I'm drying it upside down, if that makes sense. But, she never grabs it. It's very weird.

Kyara had a phase of trying to grab my hair. A simple No and going away, in another room or getting up so she can't reach it and simply ignoring her did the trick. (Also get the Hubby to ignore her too when she does that to you... it was actually harder to teach him to stop laughing at it than to get Kyara to stop doing it just kidding)

She caught on quickly that if she did that the playing/snuggling immediately stopped and, most importantly, that if she did that I stopped to pay attention to her!

My Sadie loves to sniff my hair.. No biting or licking. Must just be something about the smell. It is kind of entertaining in the beginning and then her little wet nose has strands of my hair sticking to it.

Hahaha Interesting topic, I notice Precious loves wavy hair now that you mention it. I have straight hair and so do all my close friends. Not a single curl in sight. But my mother on the other hand, perms her hair into tight swirls and waves, I think Precious likes trying to get at them when she`s around because they`re so bouncy and unfamiliar hahaha Then again.. she likes anything furry and hairy so I can`t really say it`s just limited to human hair hahaha Funny thread though I too correct her but it doesn`t really cause any of us any trouble nor has it manifested in to any other bigger problem. It`s just fun at the moment and that`s about it.
