Simba's agility update

Simba is 14 months now and has been doing a regular agility class once a week for 3 months now. He has previously done a 5 week foundation course and we worked on the basics until he was old enough to jump :)

At first he wasn't to keen. He liked the class because he made so many friends but he wasn't to sure about the whole agility part of it! One week it seemed to click. He started getting excited when it was our turn and stopped wandering off on me. He took a dislike to the a frame but we solved that problem and then he decided he didn't like the dog walk and we have almost resolved that. He still strolls along it slowly but he doesn't avoid it anymore.

This Friday we will be joining the competition class for the first time. I am a bit nervous because I know Simba will be brilliant but I won't have a clue what I am doing

I am looking forward to watching Simba improve as the weeks go by. Hopefully I will get a video in the coming weeks. Simba is my first agility dog and I hadn't even heard of agility until I saw it on crufts last year. I am hooked now!!

Great to hear Simba is excited about agility now. I'm really new to agility (3 weeks into a 5 week beginners course) and also didn't know what agility was until not so long ago... can already see how you can get hooked! Good luck with the competition class :smile2:

It's good to hear about another agility novice. We started private classes last week. The first week Lacey was not too sure of the dog walk. This week she wanted to run it.

I was pretty nervous about that. She did really well in class though. I have a lot to learn.
