Sitting out in the rain

Urgh, Kismet loves sitting on the top of the steps in the rain. I swear she's contemplating where she'll dig her next hole - because if I leave her there too long that's exactly what she does. Rain and mud, she loves it, I don't.

Caro - Do not hope that the rain comes down to your area,
just heard on TV that there are huge cloudbursts "down under"

Where I am (3hrs from western Sydney) it has been raining steadily but not too heavily so far. Kismet had her assessment for Gold level obedience cancelled yesterday. We were very disappointed because she had everything down pat. Although put her in a field with food and that may have been different.

The big rain hits in the Canberra region tonight and tomorrow. I don't think we'll get the flooding they have in Sydney because we aren't surrounded by rivers. We are surrounded by mountains so I guess that could be a problem. I hope not - For the sake of all the nearby places that got burnt out in the fires a year ago; many people are still living in temporary accommodation.

Urgh, upgraded the rain tomorrow to 80mm, guess we will be getting lots of rain. I can guarantee you that Kismet won't want to go out to toilet, Della will eventually run under the gazebo that I put out for Tully to use, but only if I stand out there will her, and Tully will escape from the gazebo and go on a pee walk across the yard through the mud and dirty her bandage. Ah fun. I get the distinct feeling I will be cleaning up pee in the house tomorrow. Right now it's after midnight, the rain is fairly light and I can't get a single one to toilet before bed. How do I explain that it will be far worse to hold until morning.

And I've got to drive to the other side of town to get Tully's stitches out, that's going to be fun.

Yikes, 80 mm’s? I feel for you Caro...that’s an incredible amount of rain! I’d suggest some puppy pads, paper one room maybe. Maybe there’ll be a break in the rain at some point but I’m thinking your going to have some muddy dogs!
