I hope he's feeling better soon, Chris. Any chance he has Lyme, or a tick-born illness? That's always manifested in my dogs as stiffness and not wanting to move. Sending pats to the Colonel!

He gets Lyme vaccinations, but you never know!

We've noticed over the past few months that Beckon isn't bounding up the stairs any more. At first, it seemed to happened when he was tired. Now it's every night. He takes each step slowly, not so much like he's in pain, but more like each step is a tremendous effort.

He goes to the vet on Friday for his rabies vaccination and wellness check. He'll get blood work, so perhaps that will show something. I'm making him an appointment at Veterinary Orthopedics and Sports Medicine if nothing shows. I'm hoping he just needs his thyroid medication adjusted.

Yes, several years back he had problems for nearly two years. It turned out to be hypothroidism. THis may be an escalation of that problem.
