Spring Festival of Dog Agility?

Anyone else attend the USDAA Spring Festival of Dog Agility this past weekend? (Mid-Atlantic Agility Showcase or the corresponding Texas event) Anyone watch the live feed online?

Well, I don't know about you all, but I had a blast. It was a fantastic event with great courses, great judges and great people.

It wasn't the best weekend for my dog and I personally (partially because I was sick on Saturday), but I learned so much watching the huge variety of handlers competing. There were tons of world class handlers/dogs participating and even Susan Garrett and her posse came down from Canada.

If you didn't make it this year, put it on your calendar for next year! :biggrin2:

Sounds like a ton of fun! Where was it located? I would love to attend next year, if it's not too far away.

The main event was held in Fredericksburg, VA. It was put on by four clubs (TAG, Mid Atlantic Madness, MadCo and Ruff Riders) and there were four rings with four judges!

I was afraid it was going to be complete chaos, but pleasantly surprised at how smooth and quickly things ran.

Agility

I know someone else that went. Monique Plincke from criterion Agility in Middletown Ct.Usually big trials like that tend to run smooth. Was that Ruff Riders club from NY?In Nov. here the week before Thanksgiving they have the largest AKC agility trial in the country in Springfield Mass. and it is a 4 ring trial and it runs very smoothly.I love showing there.

Ahh, okay. I don't really know Monique, but I ran on a DAM team with Nicole who seems to train and travel with her quite a bit. Monique sure does have a fast little papillon!

It was Virginia Ruff Riders actually. I forgot that there's another one out there and get kind of lazy regarding making the distinction. :o

Agility

Actually Nicole and Monique own Criterion Agility.I have done run thru's at thier facility. It is about 30 minute ride for me.She has quite a buisness. She does lots of seminars and privates. They both are very good
