Stage at 16 months?

Hi everyone! Long time no update :smile2:
Aimee is 16 months now and I was wondering what are some normal behavioral things to know at this age? For example there's a fear period at 8 weeks, 6 months, etc. Are more behavioral changes to be expected?

I'm guilty of growing "comfortable" of how she turned out by her first birthday and have been neglecting how important socialization is. :( Now that I've introduced a new puppy, and we're going places all the time, things we need to work on have become more clear to me. She's also surprised me too. When she was little she was very timid, shy, and quiet. It was hard to socialize her as a puppy because every time she left the house, she started shaking and I never wanted to overwhelm her. She's never been a barker/growler but recently she's started to do that as well (it may be the puppy making her more playful though!) It is definitely not aggressive, but I don't want her scaring people who don't know that.

Any input is appreciated, especially how I should handle the situation at this point! :confused2:

Hi Victoria,

Logan went through a similar stage at 18 months. He was very reactive whenever we encountered baby strollers. I would put him into a sit, speak softly, give lots of pets, and treats for calm behavior. To this day whenever he sees a stroller he goes into an automatic sit (and of course I treat) - it's very cute.

I'm sure others will have lots of good suggestions.

Best,
Kimberly
