I haven’t posted in awhile, but Story’s friendship with our “new” cat continues to be the most adorable thing ever. They snuggle together everyday and play sometimes. The cat, Haukea Snow Leopard Took, aka “Lumpia” and a million other nicknames loves Story more than me!
Story is so hyper and high energy, but he’s gentle with the cat and will let him do anything. So Took will wrap himself around Story’s legs and lightly chomp him and Story doesn’t mind
Beyond adorable. Both my cats (one at a time) did so well with my Shelties, but nothing like this. What good buddies they are. And they are both so darling themselves.
My mother had been looking to adopt a kitten to be friends with her half feral rescue kitten and hopefully give him more confidence (yes it worked perfectly) so I was keeping an eye on rescue websites and spotted an adorable kitten listed as “Kitty 1”. We quickly applied to adopt him
but I thought surely a bunch of people would have applied to adopt him - but we were the ones chosen to adopt him! I don’t if anyone else applied or not. Then he got a bit sick while in foster care so we had to wait a bit but finally he got to come home. He was delighted to find out that he was the proud owner of 3 shelties!! He was found abandoned under a truck in Hilo, all alone, no mom or siblings. I think he’s very happy to have so many animal friends now
What a lovely story (no pun intended!!) Some things are meant to be. I've often had that kind of thing happen with my pets. I'm glad Lumpia had made friends with the other kitty and all 3 Shelties.
