Stroking ears makes them go down?

 well I expect some try very hard not to have 'hound ears' I thought some might not agree with me liking them as try and avoid them but yeah like you said doesn't really matter and Meggie is a beautiful girl :biggrin2: thanks for the photo.

In the general scheme of things, if your dog is a pet it doesn't matter the slightest what kind of ears your dog has (Ainsley has prick ears). I would be much more concerned with things like health, temperament, trainability and most of all, loveableness. (yes, I know I am making up words too).

I guarantee that if you love your dog it won't matter to you at all what type of ears she has. If you like hound ears, good for you! If we all liked the same things, it would be a very boring world.

Now, these are hound ears....

I'm working on grooming techniques to compensate and create "illusion" of higher" tipped ears.

In Bacca's case, that means:

1) Lightening the load on the top 1/3 of his ear.

2) Trimming less behind his ear, but proper shaping still required.

3) Trimming less between his ears

4) Trimming more on the sides

5) Trimming more inside his ears.

Easy on paper, less easy in practice. Bacca has very thin ear cartiledge. So there is minimal that I can do. He'll always have that Eeeyore look. It just would be nice to perk him sometimes! :smile2:
