Well not too bad today: all In all a very good weekend. Storm has developed a dislike for the teter just recently in the last 2 weeks cant remember any incidents that stand out to turn her off, but its something we will need to work on before the next trial.

Starters Std: Standard runs were Not our friends this weekend, great run but Storm dropped a bar so No Q. I was really hoping to get 2 Std run this weekend for her Title But didn't get even One, That's agility for you.

Overall a very good weekend Storm went 4 Q's for 6 runs and Cosmo had 2 runs that actually looked like he was trying we should have got the adv gamblers if the handler was thing a bit quicker on his feet once his initial PLAN went down the toliet it was close though.

I put up a complete video of Saturdays runs under the other post that should actually work LOL.

Happy training and trialing all.

Great runs! I did notice one thing. Looks like Storm thinks that the dog walk is the teeter. He stopped going up thinking it was going to drop. Looks like he's just confused a little :biggrin2:

Yes we Just started getting teteritis at practice last week, That was the first time that she had done that on the DW and yes that's exactally what she thought, maybe she didn't here me say walkit, its pretty noisy in there, but 3 times at this trial she deliberately ducked the teter, the once it was a straight shot to the teter 6 feet coming out of a tunnel and you can see
her vere off to the side to avoid going to it, very strange but we will work on it.

Darn that bar in Standard.

You guys look so good though, jumpers was great!

The only thing I would say is that you bend over a lot, and then you get airplane arms sometimes. If Storm is running straight, you probably don't need arm movement to cue a jump. She should know to take what's in front of her. That way arm motion is more attention-grabbing cue and it has more meaning (like get out, or go on, for example).

As for the teeter, Lexi had several random teeter scares. We could never identify the "why" but had to go back and retrain several times from the beginning. You can work all the elements separately (height, bang, position) but I bet the bang/movement is what is bothering her (that was Lexi's issue).

Silvia Trkman also recommends teaching a dog to bang cabinets closed to teach them that they control the movement and noise. She also teaches them to get on a skateboard to teach them that they control the motion.

I do those same things and my instructors is constantly telling me I am directing dogs not airplanes. SHe has has threatened me more than once to tied my hands down. I find I do it more with Birch than Diva or Ember maybe because I am not sure he will keep going.

But overall great runs. They are doing so well.:smile2:
