Supplement for Home made food?

Hi All,
After one food after the other being recalled, allergies to chicken and one of my guys refusing to eat anything I put in front of him I finally started making their food. It is not difficult BUT I need to know what people are recommending when it comes to supplements?
There are SO many out there for those feeding home made food, my head is spinning.

Many people doing home made foods choose not to supplement. We do a chicken and vegetable "stew" to add to their Acana kibble, which they love. However, we also swear by Vibrant Pets:

It works for us to keep the Nattering Springs Sheltie gang at their peak. We do have Bitsy Boodle, who suffers from severe arthritis (age 7). The VP kept her going for four years, delaying the progression of the disease. Now, for her, we add Carprofen for pain management.
 
The vet recommended Hilary's Blend when I was doing home meals for Liam. There is also a cookbook available. Those in the States can order on line - I have to order from the vet. It used to be called complete and balanced.

Hi Chris,
I checked it out and it looks great and financially a great buy compared to what I've been seeing too! So... I ordered it!
It's probably one of those constant "arguments" as it is for humans, if you get a balanced diet why supplement? I just feel better giving them that extra to be on the safe side. I'm too new at this making their food stuff to feel confident. :) My 1.5 yr old never wanted to eat, I can't tell you how many foods we went through (half of which to end up recalled at one point or the other) and it's amazing both of them LOVE meal times now! They are all excited to see what they're going to get! They seem happier, Mikey has stopped ripping at his fur, hopefully will leave his paws alone eventually too.
