The boys start agility

I'm so excited for you Dr. Shelli. You and Birch are going to have such a wonderful journey through agility together.

Can't wait to hear more about his progress.

Birch and Jamie's first lesson sounds like it went really well. I'm sure they are both going to have a wonderful time. Shelties really seem to love doing agility:biggrin2:

Epic had his first lesson on saturday and unfortunatly we had a big hail storm just as we were going to start which delayed the lesson:gaah. We did a couple of low jumps and a tunnel just for a try - in the mud! My friend with her 7 year old sheltie is there too and it's nice to have a buddy for Epic.

Our shelties didn't like being held by someone they didn't know before being called over/through but it sounds like you didn't have that problem? Wish I could have done the foundation work - that sounds really good. It will be interesting to compare notes. :smile2:

Birch doesn't really care for being held by people he doesn't know. Jamie was actually better than he was. But that just motivated him to run back to me quicker. Luckily he has a pretty good sit stay so he didn't have to be held much.

That's where Epic still needs work as he is the most 'ants in his pants' sheltie I've ever known and remaining still in one position for more than a minute only happens when he is asleep!
