If you haven't seen the documentary on Netflix called THE MIND OF A DOG I would certainly recommend it-- it does actually have a few Shelties in it but it is a wonderful mash of information, good for anyone who like dogs and the relationship they have with us. I was interested to find out one of the major differences between wolves and dogs was the sclera-- made lots of sense in all sorts of way and if you want to know as well-- watch the movie:)

I watched it. It was pretty good. Mostly about training service dogs, which I found very interesting. The three shelties in their laps at the end ]were just for window dressing cuz they were so dang pretty! LOL
I agree- it was interesting that both dogs and people fail the service dog matchup. The joy on the faces of those that were going to receive the service dogs was inspiring and spoke to the bond between dog and mankind.. In our house our crew see us do something in prep to doing something else and they are ahead of us e.g when the coffee karafe comes out they go to the refrig where the coffee is stored and bark then to the sink where the water is put into the karafe and they do this with other things as well so dogs do really learn routines and know what is next and I guess that is what they emphasize with service dogs.
