Piper is small as well but I have a lower bench at the foot of the bed that he can jump up on and then onto the bed. He use to be on and off the bed during the night but I notice in his older age he pretty much stays on the bed all night now.Ian dislikes the height and Spitfire was never a bed dog. To short to make the jump and now does not jump at all. If I put him up he will settle and stay but expects elevator up and down.
Well, also Spitfire is not a talented jumper. He is too stubborn. As a puppy he wanted to get Sca, who was a furniture dog who knew the Orange Horror could not get up. Well as he got big enough to make the jump he still could not. Problem was he would get right up to the edge then try going straight up. Of course when this did not work he just doubled down. One day he was chasing Sca and with a running start just glided up also. You could see the light come on in his head. Problem was while the couch was conquered everything else was still the old method. He actually could go straight up and grab with his front paws and pull himself up on the bed (did I mention stubborn) though 50% of the time he would fail and crash down. He long ago quit jumping even on the couch.Piper is small as well but I have a lower bench at the foot of the bed that he can jump up on and then onto the bed. I bet you make a good elevator though![]()
Blueberry always sleeps up by the pillow on the other side of the bed, sometimes however she’s right beside my pillow. It’s so nice when I wake up during the night and see her there…I woke up last night and almost the first thing I saw (in the dark lol) was her face looking at me inches away. Blueberry, while being a little B to the other dogs is just the sweetest girl to me while on the bed. A few pats to her and I’m off to dreamland again. Shes honestly better than a sleeping pill! This is what happens when our furrier members think they are part of the pack there are not boundaries-- and that's pretty much like most of us want it. PM so nice of you to provide such a nice comfy place for them to sleep. One of the things I used to really enjoy was when my two would pile up around me..sooo nice.
