Yes it's tick time.ssi important to remove them correctly.better still to prevent them. Hugs to all!

The one and only good thing about the lack of rain is the ticks dry up of course one good rainfall and they’re back. We’re almost into our hottest part of the summer and the ticks here become dry sparse at that point...I rarely find any on my dogs. Of course we stay out of the long grasses!

We live in tick capital here in New England - they are SOOOOO bad this year!
We treat our perimeter, removed all undergrowth, weeds, leaves. We treat the dogs and I know have Cedarcide to use once a week on top of that. Worst year for ticks in all my years here in CT, never seen anything like it! Of course, Brodie ended up with Lyme's this year even with all we try to do.

I had taken Monty in some woodland about a month ago. He ran into some long grass and when I got him back he was covered in ticks on his coat. I thought I had gotten them all but when I got home I found a couple in his skin which I removed with tweezers.
i've spoken to the vet and changed his flea medication to NexGard as it is supposed to help prevent ticks.
