My aunt had samoyeds in UT...and she shaved them in the summer because of the heat, they didn't have a/c and so it was HOT, especially in August...they coated up just fine every winter. Gorgeous dogs. I don't shave my girls, just clip the backend and underpants mostly...and Kaleigh is already growing back what I clipped, but it has been a bizarre weathered summer...she has been the fastest to coat up, but I think it was the winter we had. I haven't had a puppy EVER have as much fur as she grew...

Lacey has blown most of her coat. She looks like a puppy these days and her tummy is shaved. I think she is going to have a wonderful coat, but it's going to take her a while to coat up. I'm actually not unhappy that she is out of coat right now as it's pretty hot.
