Uh Oh!! The puppy will be here sooner than I expected!

yikes! The breeder wrote on her blog this morning that she thinks her Sheltie Topaz will have the pups at the end of the month!! That means they will be 8 weeks old at the end of April or by early May! They will be ten weeks old in the middle of May, when I have to bring the puppy home. We would get the puppy on a Saturday, and I plan on taking two days off of work (I'll call in sick) and my husband can take one day. I would have five weeks of work still. My niece will come on her lunch hour, she works down the street from my house. I hope all this will work, what do you all think? Not many choices here. Puppies come when they come!!
 
This was the scenario when we brought home first puppy Skye, and then years later puppy Asta. As long as someone can come home at lunch and get the pup out to potty and have some exercise I think you will be OK. Pretty exciting news!
 
That is exciting! Puppy will be fine as Sharon said with a lunch break, especially if your niece can stay and play with it for a few minutes to use up some energy. The five weeks will go quickly!

Yes! Quickly because I will be exhausted, lol. I am planning on paying my niece $17.00 a day to come on her lunch break, as she may have to clean a mess or two. I'm hoping that's a fair price.
