Understanding the Judging Program (rally)

So we have our first rally trial this Friday :fl

And I don't want to bother the secretary (who is on here anyway so this worry might be moot) When the judging program lists one walk through before listing the rally classes does that mean that's the only walk through? How does that work with the signs that only apply to to certain classes?

I'm probably over thinking this...

so we were just at a rally trial a weekend ago.
Rally Excellent is usually first and A & B walk together- depending on the judge, all dogs in Excellent may go and then ribbons awarded to B and then to A.
then Rally Advanced will have a walkthru for A and B- run together and then ribbons. then Novice is usually last- same thing as the other classes.

Last year, I went to the trial for Rally Advanced- there were a lot of B dogs so I didn't plan on arriving for the listed B time and there was just that one walkthru for both A and B. luckily the course was one that you could follow the map and watch some dogs and we did fine even without the walkthru. but I did learn my lesson and we were there in plenty of time to not miss anything this year:winkgrin:
All the rally classes this year were "to follow" which basically means after lunch. they were in the morning last year so I had an actual time to shoot for.......

The way it works is they list the time for the first walk, most likely the Excellent class, then everything else is "immediately following". So after Excellent finishes, they'll build/walk/run Advanced, then build/walk/run Novice. A and B classes typically run together.

Be aware, the judge awards the ribbons during a short presentation ceremony after each run. S/He will call her "Excellent B" qualifiers into the ring, award their ribbons then call the Excellent A qualifiers into the ring. (Some judges call the "Excellent Qualifiers", both A & B classes, into the ring.) This normally happens while they are building the next course.

Thanks you guys!
Right now it looks like we're going to be second to last to go for the trial since Novice A is last so maybe we can delay leaving so Olive isn't hanging out for hours getting stressed.

interesting- we went early so the dogs could acclimate to the trial atmosphere:winkgrin:

We went to a run through there the other weekend and she adapted really quickly, especially for her first time on turf. She was "done" by the time our second run was up (we got there 830ish, last run was noonish) and was starting to check out so I don't want to risk that when it actually matters.
