Ok, we brought Chase home on Saturday. He was quite and shy the rest of the day, expected for a new pup.
Sunday he started to open up much more and play. He has eaten well every day and has been very good about going outside to do his business. Only accidents have been from us not paying close attention when he needed to go out. Sunday night when we put him in his crate for the night he started to cry and then started barking. We decided to let him go and ignore him for almost 40 minutes.
Well that was a mistake! We discovered he had an accident in his crate and that’s why all the ruckus. We cleaned him and the crate up, turned on a night light and off to sleep he went. I must admit I felt so ad for waiting so long to check but I didn’t want to get him use to crying for attention.
By Monday night he was chasing his mini tennis ball around and bringing back to me 80% of the time. He still doesn’t like his collar but loves to go out and play. He does very ghood on a leash too.
We have both been thrilled how fast he is adapting to his new home and how smart he is.
