Utility tubs

So day before yesterday I was looking online for a doggy bathtub. Super expensive (naturally) so I thought there must be a cheaper alternative!
Enter the utility (or laundry) tub.
I wanted something that could fit in my tub but be on a stand so I didn’t have to be bending over and it’d be easier on my back.
I found this one locally, 32” long and fits in my tub. It’ll hold Finnie (who is my largest dog).
I’m actually looking forward to bathing them now!
And it was only $150…the cheapest I saw of a doggy bathtub was $300.
No more sitting (or kneeling) on the floor giving them a bath!
And if I want I can eventually install it in the basement, it’s just that all my grooming equipment is upstairs so it’s just easier having the tub upstairs as well.
Just have to make room in a closet for it but I’ll have no excuses when I have a dirty dog!:ROFLMAO:

That looks terrific!! I love that it's raised. I do mine in a raised baby bath tub that fits in my bathtub but I still have to lean over the tub.
One dog done!
It did work wayyyy better. I’m still leaning a bit but then I put a foot on the edge of the tub, that helps a bit.
Of course I did Finnie first, he is the biggest of my crew (and I did lift all 30 pounds of him into the tub, I’ll pay for that later) and takes the longest so it’s a good test.

I admit, I wash mine in my kitchen sink..... It's a deep, single basin, granite sink. Brodie is heaviest at 20 lbs. I do wish I had a better utility sink in the basement. We plan on replacing the faucet down there so depending on how that turns out, it may be my new bathing station... or not.

Love how Finnie smiles, even during a bath!

Looks like it works, and if it saves your back at all it's money well spent.
Did you add a hair strainer over the tub drain to catch the extra hair? I got ours at Walmart under 4 dollars.

I did use a similar strainer I bought at the dollar store! I’d never wash the dog without one! lol
One other thing I liked was there was less slipping in the tub. The bathtub has a bit of a ridge where it goes up along the sides. That and the porcelain is much more slippery and the dog can slip even when I use a rubber bath mat.
The tub is completely flat and Finnie was much more comfortable in it. That and he wasn’t able to travel as far…in the bathtub he’d be walking as far away from the shower head spray as possible! lol
