Vectra 3D for fleas?

We are out if town for the holiday week and of course the dog appears to have fleas. Drove to the closest town today to a vet and they gave me Vectra which resembles Frontline in the respect that its a tube and they told me to apply beginning at base of tail upwards to neck. Has anyone ever used or heard of this? It's a new-to-me item and that always makes me a little nervous. Thanks.

I would use it if I could still get it locally. I used it a few years ago and liked it much better than frontline.

I use it on Beau, he has never had any reactions to it, I hope you have success with it

I've never heard of this treatment before. We use mainly Frontline here in the UK. How did you get on Janice, did it work okay?
