Well the fantastic weekend continues.
Diva earned her MXJ, 27 MACH points and got her 9th double Q for her MACH. Seems she doesn't want me to hand her off to Rachel again. She was as focused as she has been since she came back. Good girl.
Birch enjoyed his first 2 runs in Open. NO Qs because his handler was an idiot in JWW, 3 handling mistakes

I forgot were my front cross was, got a back jump when he ran by the jump I caused him to miss, then I was on the wrong side and tried to flip him to the weaves which is not going to work with a 19 month old puppy and finally I did not clear the weaves far enough and had to step out around the wing of the next jump and thus pulled him off the next inline jump. My timing is really off with him
In standard, he decided the judge was too close(he was really close! and a lot of dogs were looking at him) to the A frame and stopped(I think it was the first time he realized a judge was in the ring) and then kind of wandered off the bottom and missed the next jump. I was able to get him back in the run after he missed the first weave entrance because he was still looking at the judge and the rest was really nice. All the bar stayed up and he was very focused. However, because we were NQ already I tried to blind cross Birch coming out of the tunnel and Birch almost ran in the back of my knees. Note to self , I am not fast enough to blind cross Birch in a tunnel.

However, I am so please with the baby boys effort. Embers turn tomorrow.
