what colour?

I´ve got an 3 year old bitch, according to her pedigree she´s bluemerle without tan (biblue), but her coat is grey-shaded instead of a nice black.
The undercoat is much brighter as it is supposed to be.
Sometimes there is a light brown (chocalate) glance......strange....
We tested her for maltese blue, but she´s negative.

Any ideas?

Her father is a bluemerle, mother is bi-black.

She looks like a bi-blue to me. But it's possible that due to spending time in the sun, her coat has gotten "rusty", and has a reddish/brown tint. It's not uncommon. A lot of black dogs (tris and bi blacks) get rusty in the sun. Mine does! If she was a maltese blue, her nose would be brown/grey.

No, the colour has been this way since she was 4 weeks old. Very odd.....I´ll try a better picture the next days....

I can see the brownish tint on the edge I think. Pretty pup either way.

very pretty...

Kaleigh is a tri, and in the summer her fur took on a purple cast/shading...it was different but pretty.
