Okay, first, Sealtainn, thanks for the explanation. I don't think I really realized that there was also a Western and I understand SW could include places like NV and even AZ,NM. That's why I wanted to go this year, because it was so close.
This is what I decided to do after learning more. There is a "contingency" premium. You send in a separate check. If you Q, they cash it. If you don't, they rip it up.
Therefore, I am going to sign up for the local qualifier for PSJ on Friday. If I Q in two weeks, great, it'll just be another run. If I don't, then it's a last chance. If I don't make it, I go home Friday night. If I do, I will do Saturday. If I don't Q in the first round, I go home. If I do, I'll do round two on Sunday.
They have regular events going on, but honestly, with hotel fees and the uncertainty of me running PSJ, I'm just not going to do it. I figure, I can watch other events while I'm there either waiting for my run, or afterwards for the day that I leave.

Maybe next year, if it's close by and I'm doing better, I can do Versatility Pairs and PGP. Until then, it's more DW training (cross your fingers, I have a trial tomorrow to test them, been training hard again).
