When do Shelties stop growing?

Hi SheltieNation!! I know questions like this have been asked before, but I didn't find ones that are super recent, so here it goes.

I'm a new Sheltie owner- I have a pretty tricolored pup named Winter. He's 7 months old now and already 15 inches. I have seen those Sheltie growth charts floating around on the internet, but I was curious as to how accurate they are - will my pup grow a bunch more? I would prefer him to be smaller, and the breeder said he'd be on the smaller side, but it isn't looking like that's going to be true. Obviously, I can't change the way he grows but I was curious to know.

When did your pup reach his full height and weight?

Thanks!

Spitfire stopped t about 10 months then right at 12 months grew an inch but he was sick as a puppy. Then yes after a bit both guys dropped maybe 1/2 inch at the shoulder when they got older.

Both my dogs grew until they were 12mths. I know because they were both sitting around cut off marks - Deska went just over 16" and Tully almost reached 13" at the 12 month mark (they were being measured for flyball jumping heights so I kept a tab on their measurements). Then as they got older they dropped some of that height again (i guess just like us humans). But I think around 9mths they were pretty close to their adult heights.

I like the Nobel Growth Chart. It has been pretty accurate with Relic. He is 7 months now and is 13 inches, but has pretty much been in the grey. The next few months will really tell if he is going to stay in the grey or go into the safe range.
