When the wrong article is chosen...

I haven't tried the tie down method. I don't think my sheltie would try very hard if he picked up a tied down article...

So, I used food every so lightly when started and within a few days weaned off.

We've been practicing metal only in anticipation of the UKC trial, and now that's not going to happen, I put the leathers back in the pile.

He's making an occassional mistake, I try to say nothing at the pile, I wait until he has returned to front. He gets a fun release, or sent back to find it ...

What works for you and your dog?

Tie down and Around the Clock are the methods I've used.

We are working articles every day, almost. Getting better!

We drove to Chattanooga for an open and utility run thru - new location for him! Except for barking on the go-out, I was very pleased. I was a little too helpful with extra cheerleading... but, I will clean up the handling and cheer less, when our confidence builds.

Forget to mention that this morning he was looking at me for more information when he was in the pile. he was walking back and seemed a little uncertain. it could have been because I was looking at him instead of lowering my eyes to front...

Will continue to practice almost every day and see if today's low return/confusion continues or clears...

Maybe I should make it a little easier, using fewer articles for a day or two... ?
