White Eyelid "Bump"

Anyone ever see a tiny white "bump" on the lower eyelid? Looks almost like an itsy bitsy egg, just sitting there. Not itchy or oozy or anything. My neighbor asked me about her dog b/c my Timmy has a harmless papilloma on his lower eyelid, but his is dark-skin color and more on the outside of the eyelid, not the top of the lower eyelid, kind of next to the eye. I've ever seen anything like this, esp. since it's white. She;s not sure if it was always there or if it's new. Her pup is a Corgi, not a Sheltie, but still, a cousin. I was intrigued and thought maybe someone had seen this before. Thanks!!

I've read that dogs can get a sty, but that it is often red. At least from what I've read...Don't have first-hand experience.

Thanks. :)

Our angel Hollie had a lump like you describe. The vet was not concerned. He did remove it once in the office with a scissor (she was very good and didn't move an inch). But it grew back. He said not to worry unless it grew big enough to scratch her eye and it never did. He never said what it was I guess it was like a sty.

I would also try warm compresses (a warm wet wash cloth works well) on it. That could help. I would do that for Hollie b/c she also had a blocked tear duct and the warm compress would help open it.

Thanks! :) I could not remember if it was a warm or cold compress to try...Will call her now and tell her. She said the bump is so tiny, so I truly hope it's nothing!
