Hello my sheltie is a 2 year old male and recently I saw him licking his foot to discover that half of his back paw was white and not black like the other paws. The white part looks flat except for where it sticks up slightly and looks like fibers? He is not limping but will stop and lick it about three times a day. Does anyone know what this could be? My vet said to wait a couple of days since he is not showing pain but he does stop to lick. If anyone has seen this before let me know!
