Who is this?

I love you guys. :) LOL.

Yes, it's Miko. I tried to find the other photo but I went through all of them, so who knows where it is.

When I was going through the photos, I came across that one and did a double take. He looks so much like Koji. I think it's his coloring. By the time we got Koji, Miko was already very dark. But in that photo, he's a lot lighter and more golden color. I though for sure you guys would be thinking Koji because of the coloring. Cuz Miko has always been very dark since I came to SF. Darn. Guess my game wasn't hard enough.

I never even though about the white on the legs. What's funny though, is I don't think Koji has less white, I think his legs are just WAY longer than Miko's so it looks like there's less white.

I posted this on my FB, I have to admit, I'm surprised most people guessed correctly and I didn't even tell them to go look at my older photos. Maybe it was just me, the crazy lady, who saw it and said, "whoa, is that Koji?" That's bad, cuz I'm the Mom.

I just looked at Koji. He sure is getting dark!!!

Koji has lots of brown on his front legs- one is almost all the way down to his little white paw........ nothing to do with leg length:winkgrin:

Your talking to the biggest group of sheltie enthusiasts on the net! OF COURSE we'er gonna look at all the tinniest little details! Some of us have to do it every day just to tell our own dogs apart!

PS We love you too!

When I wrote that, I happened to be looking at Miko's leg that has brown and Koji's that didn't have much (or it was how he was lying). As I looked more at the photos, I realized, one of Miko's leg is all white (it runs right into his white ruff). LOL.

Duh! I definitely don't know my own dogs. :rolleyes2:

So very true. What in the world was I thinking? Oh yeah, I was thinking, "I didn't realize this was Miko, I bet no one else would either". I was proven sooooooo veerrrrryyyy wrong!!!!

yeah.....
Callie had very thin blaze- (now you know why new puppy had to have blaze), full white front but only partial collar and very dark fur.
Cranberry- blaze is straight on the dark side and of course, sable merley fur, a little light brown on outside of legs but they are mostly white.
Dixie- wider blaze than Callie's but almost the same shape- full white collar and full white front, only a little brown peeps in from the side.

the challenge is identifying all the sable dogs from the sheltie gathering pix:winkgrin:

I always told people I was not good at telling the dogs apart that why I got different colors and why I prefer Merles. :wink2: If you can't pick out Ember in a crowd one might need to get their eyes checked. Diva had a litter of all Tri and it was hell trying to tells them apart for awhile.

Truth be known i can tell them apart with my eyes closed. I proved it to myself the other day when we lost power due to a bad storm. Pitch black and I reached down to feel them and make sure they were all there.

Diva-small wiry, feels like a piece of iron , no coat right now. Check.
Ember small very fluffy, alittle paddy over the ribs compared to the other dogs. Check
Justice big coat, harsh and straight. Check
Birch big, another piece of iron. hard coat, no undercoat. Check :smile2:

Interestingly. All my dogs have full white colors, the girls have no blaze , the boys have blazes, the girls are white factored with alot of white, the boys are non white factored and color cuts off the front from the ruff. Only Birch has a colored front leg. Other wise eveyone else has white front legs all the way to the chest.

Just the little things we don't think about but we use to ID our dogs.
