I now have two dumbells that fit him! (and a pile of ones that don't) A poplar wooden dumbbell and a nice resin one!
They are terrific!

size 7cm x 4cm x 1.5 cm high angle. :) Good job Max 200

how do you figure out if they fit? just curious- haven't even attempted anything with a dumbbell.........
 
I followed the directions on theMax 200 website, which is I put a dowel in his mouth and marked how wide his mouth was right behind the canines. Then I called and gave them his height, weight and breed info. This is the second dog they have sent the perfect fit, the first time....

I have quite a collection from J and J ... Never did get a dumbbell that fit so well, I guessed and ordered and never returned ones that didn't fit. I've had three dogs, and order at least three dumbells for each dog, one for the show, one to train with and the emergency back up because I usually leave one somewhere!

Anyway thrilled that boy boys holding the dumbbell that fits right with no mouthing or rolling it around. Now to work on getting that perfect front with it in his mouth!

I'll have to check their site out- just working on too many other things at the moment. both the brown dogs are still in beginner novice anyhow- long way to go..............:winkgrin:

I love the fit that Max 200 can offer and the turnaround time from order to delivery was quite speedy. They have a customer order phone number and the people who answer the phone are highly knowledgeable. I purchased a set of articles from Max 200 for Dalton and when I tested them, the fit was absolutely perfect. I eventually bought two additional sets because of fit alone. I know quite a few people who swear by Max 200's dumbbells.
