Yeah, I got the sheltie stare this morning when Gavin wanted Breakfast early (silly boy).
I guess it means "I want something and you know what it is"

My Dylan was bell trained. It was the one you hang on the door knob and you rang it everytime you took your dog out to go party. He was very well trained and didn't abuse the bell for any other reasons. Since we moved to our new house last year, we didn't hang the bell on the door knob any more. When he wants to go potty, he goes to the door and rings the imginary bell with his nose and looks back and me with expression on his face like "didn't your hear the bell ringing?".![]()

LOL!!! Riley does the imaginary bell ring when we are other people's houses. He "rings" then stares at us. Of course he also will 'ghost ring' the bell at home, where he noses NEAR the bell, but not actually touch the bell, then expect us to take him out![]()
