I will be the first to admit that our Zoey is a neurotic mess. Her anxiety is so bad now that we put her on meds at the advice of a behaviorist and close monitoring from our vet.
Trimming her paws is a nightmare as she hates having her feet touched. We can only do a few nails at a time and then take a break. Forget about filing them. We tried that and it did not go well at all. You'd think we were trying to kill her...lol. Recently she started chewing on her front dew claws. I'm concerned for all the obvious reasons (infection, OCD behavior).
How can I get her to stop doing this without it appearing (to her) as though it's punishment?
