Do shelties have different coat textures?

    My Luke is only 13 inches at shoulders.so he's small, smart and loving.his upper canines were impacted and dog dentist had to remove them.he doesn't seem to miss them.bought him at Petland.

    Luke is also silky coated tri color lots of undercoat. He will be 3 in September

    Sounds like a wonderful boy! Much like my Piper, 13 3/4” and all attitude in a small package. My 16 1/2” 3 year old is like a big kid...always has to have a toy in his mouth lol!

    Sca was silky and self cleaning. Thick coat but it laid flat
    Spitfire is a puff ball, slightly course and he fur just soaks up Alabama orange clay until you realize his white has shrunk and he feels slightly tacky
    Angus mats up has a monster coat and is very soft. He is also semi self cleaning. Come bath time the red stream off of him is a fraction of Spitfire's. But he can clog a drain in a hot second if you don't put a strainer over it.
