Happy Birthday Treesa dear! We miss you! We've not seen you for awhile! Make sure you get your mom and dad to come by soon to pick up your birthday gift! the times I'm in the store are"

    Sundays 10:00 to 12:00
Monday 9 am to 2 pm
Tuesday 9 am to 2 pm
Thursday 9 am to 12 pm
Friday 9 am to 3 pm

If I'm bringing the dogs its normally going to be Sunday or Mondays. Sometimes Thursdays. These days though, I've not been bringing Bacca much because he's not doing so good.
    Hi Barb,
I'm so sorry we missed you today. I feel bad that you waited for us given you weren't feeling well. Next Sunday hopefully we will get a chance to see each other and give the kids a chance to visit. We'll just make our own Christmas photo...hope to be there around 12:30. Let me know if this works for you. In the meantime take care. Hope you feel better soon!
By example, mostly! I inherited Caro as a part-timer who I turned into assistant manager. She is smart, knowledable, capable and motivated. She does the bulk of the coaching of the other two staff members. She's also excellent at merchandising as well.
So having a strong 2IC is the key for me.

As for friendly staff.....it is part of the Pet Valu Learning System! Truly! Every staff member goes through hours of on-line and book training in customer service and product knowledge. My staff KNOWS that a customer must greeted within 30 seconds of walking in the store. If they seem to know where they are going, we leave them to it for a minute or so. If they seem to look a little lost, my staff is there to direct them immediately.

They all know that engaging the customer in conversation about their pet is the key to upselling and cross-selling. Caro is a master at it. She does it without seeming to be obstrusive, knowing exactly when to walk away.
LOL! I tend to work days instead of evenings. I use the evenings to do my books and think about marketing/merchandising ideas. Sorry I missed you! Hope my staff were good to you!
Hey! I went to your store yesterday evening, but you and your dogs were nowhere in sight! You need to have work hours opposite of mine

in case you didn't have it. Seems to be US based, but awareness is awareness. It was a amazing short (2.5 mile) walk. they do the pledges; I just donated (the most I ever have for one cause) and did the walk with my wife and Everett. Boy his little legs were tired! So many groups each with a t-shirt to honor and remember and tell others of there loss.
Anyway, I find it strange the three people in my live all lost their child in the same year of my brothers passing. As difficult as Ricks passing was, a suicide is so much worse.
Anyway Barb, my thought are with you..
If your interested, my e mail is [email protected] if you facebook.
Barb, my facebook status for today:
Today Suzanne Hansen and I did the “3rd Annual Out of the Darkness Eugene Community Walk” for suicide awareness.
I did this to honor my friends Jeff Salakar, Bonnie McClintic Peterson and BarbV, all who have lost a teen to this curse. There is no greater loss than to lose a child.
