Belson has had his named changed to Arty....and all names are reference to famous drummers. Delta, the momma, was abandoned before she gave birth - she whelped in the pound. And the entire family was on the short list to be euthanized before Austin Sheltie Rescue got them. It just makes me...

Last weekend a sweet little sheltie and her four, four-week old pups were rescued by ASR from a pound in Del Rio, TX. I am staying with the foster couple, who both work full-time jobs, to assist in socializing and caring for the pups! It is challenging but rewarding. The family will be ready...

Very exciting news....CNN contacted me earlier this morning, and asked for an update on Daisy and her weight loss.... so I submitted a few paragraphs, with a few pictures....they are thinking of doing another story about obese pets this weekend.... here is the link to my new story...

Maybe I've had some sort of major brain fart, but I can't remember how to view the current photo albums. When I go to UserCP, and hit albums, it takes me to my albums! I used to check for new pics every few days, but it's been awhile.... Could you help please?

So happy your bratty boy is getting back to his old self....interesting stuff on the raw diet....just so happy he's back to being a love bug!

Update! Daisy will be going in for her surgery at 7:30am tomorrow morning. Please keep her in your prayers.

I have come a long way from beggin' strips and other nasty treats...(my vet said beggin' strips were like feeding your dog a side of bacon!). I make all my own treats now too. I love this forum for the ideas and the information which has lead me to be a much better pet owner.....

I love reading Petunia updates...she has come so far! Here at home we are praying for a speedy recovery so she can move on to the next chapter of her life - heaven on earth!

Beautiful pictures! What a handsome fellow!

One year ago today I adpoted/rescued Daisy! Since we have no idea of her age, let alone her birthdate, I have decided today will be her 8th birthday! We are celebrating with a trip to the country for a long walk, and a salmon patty as a treat! I put together this video to celebrate....one...

He's a pretty boy.....I hope Dallas picks him up soon.....

Here's another pet food recall: http://www.dogfoodadvisor.com/dog-food-recall/natures-variety-dog-food-recall-2012/ Don't use this food...but just in case anyone does....

I took Daisy to the vet's and he recommended I have it removed. He did say it was a tumor, but if it's malignant, he didn't know. I will have the surgery done on August 3rd...due to financial reasons.
